This is to inform the general public that the Awareness Times Newspaper has opened an Investigation into the huge sums of Taxpayers money that President Bio’s SLPP-led Government has been giving towards the interests of Former APC Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Claude Daniel Melville Kamanda (GOOR) since the SLPP/Bio came to office in 2018.

Kamanda today wrote a letter presenting himself as an advocate for Women; he was vehement as he advocated the interests of First Lady Fatima Bio, the wife of SLPP President Bio. However, it can be recalled that on May 31st 2019 when female members of APC were stripped naked at their APC party offices by Police Officers acting under the executive authority of President Bio’s SLPP Regime and firing live rounds of Tear Gas into the building where scores of frightened Women were seeking refuge from a malicious State action against the APC, this same Hon. Dr. Claude Daniel Melville Kamanda (GOOR) went on Facebook and WhatsApp, not to express sorrow or outrage for how APC Women were being treated but to congratulate the SLPP’s Habib Thorpe that day. That was the day the SLPP got the courts to remove 10 APC MPs from Parliament.

We have so far confirmed that interests of this Kamanda has received over 700 Million Leones CASH (Le700,000,000.00) from the SLPP Bio-led Government – to be applied for his projects at Newton that he describes as “community projects”.

When we interviewed him this night, he was stammering on the phone as we presented our facts to him. He cut the call off in a haste.

Kamanda immediately contacted Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden OOR on the phone this night to appeal to her on the matter of our newspaper’s investigations. However, Dr. Blyden has nothing to do with our editorial independence to investigate Hon. Claude Daniel Melville Kamanda (GOOR).

The investigations are now on – BIG TIME.

So the world can better examine this supposed “Women’s Empowerment” advocate who ignored when women of the APC were brutalized in 2019 but is now an Advocate for President Bio’s wife.

Hon. Dr. Claude Daniel Melville Kamanda (GOOR) was a nonentity who was made in to a known entity when the All Peoples Congress party gave him a party symbol for him to contest for Parliament. He rose to become Chief Whip of the APC in Parliament and even acted as Majority Leader of Parliament in absence of the substantive holder when the APC was in governance. Kamanda was also appointed as Deputy National Elections Coordinator for APC. He was made a GOOR by President Koroma. So this Kamanda grew financially and in other stature as a result of the APC.

However, his people denied him the APC symbol for the 2018 Elections. He asked the APC hierarchy to overturn the wish of his people and forcefully give him the symbol but this was not done. As a result, Kamanda was to turn against the APC party that raised him from grass to grace. He is like Victor Bockarie Foh in that regard; an embittered man.

Sadly, not knowing he was by then already embittered, the APC made the mistake of keeping him in post as Deputy National Elections Coordinator during the APC Elections. All the secrets of the APC during the 2018 Elections were in Hon. Claude Kamanda’s palm. One can deduce what may thus be the motivation for the SLPP regime to be giving the interests of this man money of such a whopping sum.

Awareness Times investigations today also show that some huge fresh money is now in the pipeline to reach the further interests of Hon. Kamanda from Finance Ministry run by J.J. Saffa.

Our sources believe the motivation for that money is what is behind his inane letter today presenting himself as a defender of Fatima Bio. We have enquired of that from him during our phone interview of him but Kamanda has just been stammering only to call Dr. Blyden on the phone to complain the Awareness Times Editor to her – for God knows what.

The APC has many Trojan Horses. Kamanda may easily be one of them because we all know the SLPP does not give out such staggering sums of money towards the interests of any genuine APC person.

However, Kamanda’s inane and foolish letter to Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden OOR may be a watershed moment. The journalistic investigations are now on to showcase what may be the real motives behind this professed advocate for Fatima Bio but who could not advocate for APC Women brutalized by the SLPP regime of Fatima and Maada Bio. Instead he went to congratulate SLPP on social media that day of the brutal beating up of APC Women.

The Investigations are on.

God bless Sierra Leone. Amen
