With all the vile and politically motivated bias Commission of Inquiries White Paper recommendations, published last week by the government of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party, pressing damning allegations against officials of the last All People’s Congress administration, there are still remained good number of people who are exceptionally unblemished and have emerged victorious survivors of the SLPP hateful tsunami.
Among them are the APC official spokesman, and former Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Mr. Sidi Yayah Tunis, former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Dr Mohoh Vandi, former Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Dr Kaifala Marah, Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone and later as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Also formed part of the APC clean slate survivors COI sanctions are Dr Mohamed Gibril Sesay, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, erstwhile Minister of Social Welfare and Children’s Affairs, Dr Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, erstwhile Deputy Ministers of Information and Communication, Mr Theophilious Nicol and Mr Cornelius Deveaux and former Chairman of the National Commission for Privatisation, and later National Revenue Authority, Mr Sulaiman Kabba- Koroma.
Also adds to the list of APC survivors of the COI recommendations, are the former Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr Momodu Lamin Kargbo, former Board Chairman, SALCAB, Mr Idrissa Yilla and former Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Madam Rgiatu Neneh Turay.
These officials of the last APC government according to the recommendations of the COI White Paper didn’t maintain a standard of life above that was incommensurate to their official emoluments during their tenures as ministers, deputy directors, and chairmen in the ministries, departments and agencies.
The report states that they never own nor control pecuniary resources disproportionate to their official emoluments under the period review.
